Government is the supreme political body in a state and is responsible for the execution and implementation of laws and political measures. It manages and guides the entire operation of a country’s domestic and international politics.

Worldwide there are almost as many forms of government as there are states. In Switzerland, the government takes the form of a direct democracy. But this can only work when there is a maximum amount of transparency. Only informed citizens are committed to the common good and take an active part in the political events of their country. This also means that information, communications and service facilities have to be made available and guaranteed. It is all a question of citizens’ security, the sustainable planning of resources and international networking.
